The Challenge
Align the Computing Connections Web presence with the ACT! software brand, expedite customer contact and accommodate a larger site architecture.
The Solutions
The first step was to perform a competitive analysis of Computing Connections' competitors as well as www.act.com. The client wanted to stand out from other ACT! consultants in the area, yet create a site that could compete on a national level.
The homepage was designed using a portal approach to showcase the main areas of the expanded site architecture giving the visitor one-click access to whatever ACT! solutions they seek from purchasing the software to notice of the next ACT! users group meeting. Special attention was given to position indicators to ensure a user always knows where they are and where they can go.
Two contact forms were created to expedite customer contact including a "Request a Quote" form to help the client filter the complex requirements of a company looking to integrate ACT! into their contact management system. Another form features an automatically updating "Topic" field depending on the context of a customer's inquiry.
In addition, a a more personal look and feel was accomplished by the use of contextual images mapped to main content areas. |
